The Third and Penultimate Volume of the Bone Tree Series is Subtitled 'Origin' because the final track "Capricorn' is a kind of auditory description of the Birthing of Planet Earth Beginning with a deep heartbeat, the sounds develop into the roiling of the boiling oceans and crackling of the Earth's crust , t Eventually these cracks take the shape of a sentience foaming at its innumerable lava fillied mouths that gradually give birth to all of the birds creatures and animals that inhabit our world today. Our earth is the origin of all this life and the Earth was birthed by the potent mix of the elements that created her.
The Bone Tree is a 30 foot tall tree on wheels made of bones by San Francisco Sculptpr/artist Dana Albany in 1999 for the Burning Man Festival. It was composed entirely of bones from animals who had passed on amd the remains were collected from across Southwest America by various friends and then attached to the burnt husk of Michael Christian's "Nebulous Entity " Sculpture which was erroneously set on fire after it's debut at the Burning Man Festival of 1998. It was highly symbolic that this once amazing piece by one San Francisco sculptor that had been burned to a blackened husk was miraculously resurrected by another San Francisco Sculptor into a symbol of resurrection and everlasting life after death. Because the cycle of continuous resurrection is the mechanism whereby the universe continually EVOLVES.
